The holidays are coming, and this is always a special time at The Village. From festive decorations to exciting events in and around Franklin, Virginia, we love this season. This time of year, our team is particularly grateful to be in the business we are in, because every day we work to build a spirit of community among our team, our residents and their families.

One of the biggest benefits of living in a retirement community is you are surrounded by neighbors who are friends, and you always have someone to join for dinner, game nights, activities, outings and more. Throw in some festive decorations for the season, and the spirit of love and community is downright contagious. When you set foot on our campus, you just feel joy.

Christmas in Bloom

This year, we are inviting members of our greater Virginia community to feel the holiday spirit at The Village. We are excited to be the hosting location of a special “Christmas in Bloom” event presented by the Franklin Garden Club on Saturday, December 3, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Guests will enjoy a lively day of fun and holiday designs. The centerpiece of this exciting event will be a presentation from Kasey Stone, founder of Clerestory Design and the 2020 White House decorator. Stone will fill us in on how the White House decorating team works with the First Lady to create America’s Christmas. Holiday decoration enthusiasts won’t want to miss this event filled with artisan vendors, special presentations, and plenty of good fellowship over a delightful lunch and drinks.

In addition to Stone’s presentation, Christmas in Bloom will feature:

• Ornament design presentation with Kasey Stone
• Christmas Floral Tablescape presentation with John Moore Drewry
• Sip & Shop featuring vendors and a complimentary glass of wine
• Beautifully decorated Cottage home tour
• Lunch by The Village’s Back Porch & Grille with The Cat’s Meow Fashion Show
