The Village at Woods Edge
1401 North High St
Join us at The Village on Thursday, April 13, to hear from Mark Richard, an award-winning, Virginia-raised short story writer, novelist, screenwriter, and poet. He will share how he pursued his passion for writing from Franklin all the way to Hollywood. Mark’s success began with his memoir “House of Prayer No. 2: A Writer’s Journey Home,” and his talents translated easily into television where he has worked on shows such as AMC’s “Hell on Wheels” and CBS’s “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior.”
Mark’s mother has been a resident of The Village for several years, so we consider him part of the family. Mark knows that at our community, we encourage residents to continue exploring interests, new and old. Whether you love painting, woodworking, or even writing — there’s something at The Village for everyone. Our activities, events, and workshops are great places to explore your passions.
